Boston Public Garden - Helpful Guide for New Visitors

 
Boston Public Garden was established in 1837 and was the first public botanical garden in America.

Visit the Public Garden in Boston to see:

• the Lagoon

• the monuments and fountains

• the Swan Boats (open 10 AM -4 PM)

The Boston Public Garden Swan Boat ride lasts about 12-15 minutes while the driver pedals you around the Public Garden lagoon in the duck pond.

Boston Swan boat tickets are available at the Swan Boat dock prior to boarding the boat.

The Pond at Public Garden during the summer months is home to many ducks and few Swans.

While visiting in the Spring and Summer months you may see many weddings here.

This famous Boston Garden is adjacent to Boston Commons and is a Natural Historic Landmark.
