Hiroshima - Mitaki Temple - Travel Guide


This Shingon Buddhist temple is located near Mt Mitaki-yama.

Within its ground, you will find waterfalls, the Tahōtō two-storied pagoda, tea house, and forests.

The temple is a lovely, calm place for a hike and tea.

Getting There

 

By Train :

- From Hiroshima station take the Kabe Line

- Exit at Mitaki JR station

- Walk up to temple- you will pass Saigan-ji Temple

By Bus :

- Take bus #22 from Hiroshima Station to Mitaki-kannon

- Exit at Mitaki-Kannon

- Walk up the temple.

 

Recommendations

 

This attraction will take 2 or more hours depending on your interest.

It will be longer if you hike one of the 2 trails.

You will be climbing steep hills and it may be muddy.

Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Bring water!
FYI: Hiking route A is less rigorous than route B.
