Getting to Arashiyama in Kyoto to visit Tenryuji and Bamboo Grove

 

From JR Kyoto Station to Arashiyama :

- Take JR Sagano line to Saga Arashiyama Station from Kyoto Station

- Exit station and follow signs to Tenryuji or Bamboo Grove (Entrance next to each other)

- Takes about 15-20 minutes (by walk) from Saga Arashiyama Station

- If taking Keifuku Densetsu (Arashiyama line) get off at Arashiyama Station

- 2 minutes walk from Arashiyama Station
