Taxi Cab information

Taxi in Las Vegas :

Taxi cabs are popular and readily available on the Strip and downtown area of Las Vegas.

Most Taxis in Vegas will only pick you up at a Hotel or designated TAXI STAND.

In Vegas, Taxicab passengers cannot be charged for the loading/unloading or transporting of their luggage.

A taxicab driver in Las Vegas must display their Taxi Drivers Permit in the taxi at all times.

The driver is not permitted to take a longer route (also called long hauling) to the passenger’s destination than is necessary, unless specifically requested to do so by the passenger.

Use of the I-215 tunnel from McCarran airport is NEVER the shortest route to any strip hotel.

Inform taxi driver to take Paradise Road or Swenson Avenue, NOT the airport tunnel if you are taking a taxi from Vegas McCarran Airport to the hotel on the strip.

Feel free to call (702) 668-4000 to report and ask assistance to Nevada Taxicab Authority.

Nevada Taxicab Authority enforcement personnel are on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days a year to provide taxi related help in Vegas.
