Recommendations

Plan on spending the whole day if you decide to go to any of these amusement parks.
Each have different rules regarding food and drink, check with the individual websites regarding specific details. Bring your own food and plastic water bottles if allowed to save some money. You can save more money by pre-purchasing tickets online and in some cases, Costco (California locations only).

There are also discounts for multiple day tickets with parking included! Each park offers a slightly different experience so if you can only go to one Park, choose Disneyland for families or Disney California Adventure for the “Disney” experience. Choose Universal Studios for a “Hollywood” experience. Choose Magic Mountain and Berry farm for thrill rides. All charge for parking and entrance to the park. Note: If you have been to Disney Parks or Universal Studios in Orlando, the LA parks have the same rides so choose Magic Mountain or Knott’s Berry Farm.

SAVE Money: Buy a Go LA Card by Smart Destinations or a CityPass Southern California card for discounts if you plan on going to 3 or more attractions in Los Angeles.  Both cards offer discounts on amusement parks in the Area.
