Los Angeles - Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Strip - Helpful Travel Information


The 1 miles section of Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and Vine Street is the home of the Hollywood Walk of Fame (names of celebrities on Stars), celebrity footprints at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and Hollywood at Highland shopping and dining complex.

This is a good place to see Hollywood history and people watch.

This Hollywood Blvd stretch is Very touristy but fun!

The best-known portion of Sunset Boulevard is the mile and a half stretch of Sunset between Hollywood and Beverly Hills called "The Sunset Strip."

The Strip is a trendy collection of rock clubs, restaurants, boutiques, and Hollywood nightspots.

If you want to see Trendy Hollywood, drive through Sunset.

• Take South US-101

Recommendations and tips

 

- While in the area spend the whole day.

  Start with breakfast at the Hollywood Highland center.

  Walk along the Walk of Fame and then to Grauman’s Chinese Theater to see the celebrity hand and footprints.

- If you have time go see a movie here as the theater is very large.

- If you are here during the summer months, Yamashiro Restaurant hosts a farmer's market with nice views of the city, and music.

  Yamashiro Restaurant is a good place for lunch.

- After lunch go to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery- the cemetery of old Hollywood stars.

  They play movies here too in the summer.

  You can also see a taping of a TV show.

- In the evening take a drive through Sunset Blvd or take some food and go to the Hollywood Bowl.

  This is a great place to see a concert in the summer time.

Tip: Bring a jacket or sweatshirt. Another famous place to go Is Magic Castle.

If you like Magic this is a good place. Make sure to get tickets in advance for Magic show.
