Guia Fortress was built in the early 1600s to protect Macau from invaders.

Guia Fortress is located on the top of Guia Hill in the Sao Lazaro area of Macau.

Guia Fortress complex consists of a colonial military fort, old tunnel, chapel, and lighthouse for visitors to see.

Guia Hill Cable Car from Flora Garden (Jardim Da Flora) and then a short walk to the fortress are the best scenic way to reach Guia Fortress.

Guia Fortress has a trapezoidal like outer wall structure covering an area of around 800 square meters.

Visitors can walk around Guia Fortress in Macau on a marked paved pathway to see Macau's beautiful views.

The Lighthouse constructed at this Guia Fortress in 1865 was the first western-style lighthouse on the China coast in East Asia.

The lighthouse located inside the fort at the highest point is a 15-meter-high tower with a diameter of 7 meters at the base and 5 meters at the top.

Next to the Lighthouse is a Chapel with a beautiful mural inside it.
