Mumbai - Elephanta Island Caves

Elephanta Island caves are located about 9 nautical miles across the sea from the Gateway of India on Elephanta Island. These caves are manmade rock-cut carvings dedicated to lord Shiva in the 7th Century. Elephanta island is lush green all around year.
