Getting There

By Subway to Empire State Building in NYC :

- Take the 1, 2 or 3 train to Penn Station/34th Street and walk east two blocks, or

- Take the B, D, F, M, N, Q, or R trains to 34th Street/ Herald Square, and

   You’ll see the Empire State Building as you exit the subway.

The entrance to the ESB is on Fifth Avenue between 33rd Street and 34th Street.

Recommendations


• Beat the crowds. For more space and less wait, visit between 8 AM and 11 AM.

• Kids under six are free. If you’re bringing a stroller, you’ll need to fold it before entering the elevator.

• Plan your breaks. Make sure to use our restrooms on the second floor before getting in line for the elevators.

• Get Express Passes online and skip all the lines. 

   Express Pass tickets are not sold on the streets in front of the Empire State Building, only on this website or from their onsite ticket office. 

  Other street sales agents are not employed by the Empire State Building Observatory.

• If you are visiting multiple attractions in NYC, purchase a City Pass or Explorer Card by Smart Destinations for discounts for general admission to the 86th floor.
