Getting There

 

By Car to San Diego Zoo :

Driving from the NORTH I-5 S:
- Take the Pershing Drive exit and follow the signs.
- I-15 (Escondido and Riverside), take SR 163 south to the Park Blvd./I-5 South exit. Exit at Park Blvd.
- Turn left on Park Blvd. and head north; Zoo entrance is off Park Blvd. at Zoo Place.

Driving from the South I-5 N:
- From I-5 (Mexico), take the SR 163 north exit,
- Then the Zoo/Museums (Richmond Street) exit and follow the signs.

Driving from the EAST:
- From I-8 (Imperial County and Arizona)
- Take SR 163 south to the Park Blvd./I-5 South exit.
- Exit at Park Blvd. Turn left on Park Blvd. and head north; follow the signs.

From SR 94:
- Proceed into downtown San Diego to 11th Avenue.
- Turn right on 11th Avenue and proceed north to A Street.
- Turn right on A Street and then make a quick left onto Park Blvd. and head north; Zoo entrance is off Park Blvd. at Zoo Place.

By Public Transport (Bus) to San Diego Zoo :

Take San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Rapid Bus Route 215 and Route 7 

The bus stop is near the entrance of the San Diego Zoo.

 

Recommendations

 

- This is a whole day or more attraction. Make sure to go on the rides early because it can get crowded.

- Save the shows for the afternoon when you need a nice place to sit down.

- You will be walking outside most of the time so wear comfortable shoes, and bring water, and sunscreen/ hat.

- This is in the City so take a bus or trolley.
