Getting To Beitou Hot Springs in Taipei

 

By Taipei MRT to Beithou Hot Springs:

- Take the Tamsui-Xinyi MRT (Red) line to Beitou Station

- At Beitou Station go upstairs to catch another MRT train to XinBeitou Station

- Beitou Station to XinBeitou Station is only one stop- just get off at the end of the line

- Pick up a map from the visitor center located near the exit at Xinbeitou MRT station

- Exit the Xinbeitou MRT station, cross the street, follow the signs/map towards Beitou Hot Spring Museum

- If you plan bathing in the hot springs, check with your hotel for the best option for your budget and family.

- Bring a bathing suit. Most places will rent one to you for a small fee.

- Make sure to make this the end of the day activity as the sulfur spring water makes you very relaxed.

- You will be walking up a steep hill, make sure to take good walking shoes and water.

- Some of the hotels provide shuttles from the MRT to their hotel at the top of the hill.

  You may want to take a shuttle up the hill and walk down, especially in the summer.
