This large and busy museum contains permanent exhibits of cultural art forms from several Chinese Dynasties.
Exhibits include: jade carvings, the outdoor exhibit, media gallery of painting and calligraphy, and interactive children’s gallery

Getting There


By MRT and bus Combination:
Take the Tamsui-Xinyi (Red) Line to Shilin Station
Exit the station to the bus stop right outside
Take bus R30 (Red 30 - Low-floor bus) to the National Palace Museum




This museum is busy, especially during the summer and weekends so go early- before 10AM
The children’s gallery is free and interactive- located on the 1st floor
Depending on your interest, this can take all day.
Bring good walking shoes, the museum is large.
No drinks/food, backpacks, cameras/ pictures are allowed once in the exhibit areas- coin-operated lockers are available.
