Best Time to Visit Toronto

Visit Toronto between late spring and early fall.
This will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy outdoor festivals, open-air dining and other activities that may not be available during winter.

Toronto Local Transportation

If you are staying mainly in Toronto, then you really don’t need to rent a car.  Save yourself gas and parking money.

The TTC subway, buses, and streetcars can get you around easily.
The main subway lines through the city of Toronto are the yellow line ( travels in an odd U shape North and South), and Green line ( runs east and west through downtown)
TTC provides free transfers between all its services

Consider buying a PRESTO card or a day or weekly pass (individual or family) you’re a slight discount and convenience

Dont' want to figure out the subway, bus, or streetcar routes but don't want to pay taxi prices?
Try a Hop-on Hop-off bus tours which have stops near all the top attractions in Toronto.

Food in Toronto

Food is very diverse and TRENDY in Toronto.

Don’t leave the city without trying some or all of these:

WVRST at 609 King St.:
Bratwurst but not just you run of the mill but try flavors like kangaroo, wild boar, and bison, even fries are cooked in duck fat.
Wash it all down with a craft beer…oh yeah.

Smoke’s Poutinerie at 218 Adelaide Street West:
Poutine is typically gravy and cheese curds over French fries, but this place has stepped it way up with Bacon Poutine, Triple Pork Poutine, Philly Cheesesteak Poutine, and even Vegetarian Selections.
They even deliver!

Want something an elegant version of poutine?
Try Poutini's on King or Queen street.
They offer things like:
The Poutini Florentini- Crispy fries, fresh cheese curds, veg gravy, spinach sautéed with shallots & garlic, topped with poached egg(s), smothered in a béchamel sauce

Leah’s on 621 St Clair Avenue West:
She has desserts galore in this shop but my favorite is the Butter tarts- filled with sugar, butter, real Canadian maple syrup and eggs.
Do I need to say more?

Buster’s Sea Cove Market-several locations:
It is a weird name for a Toronto favorite but try Boston Blue fish and chips here.  Really any seafood here is pretty fresh and well prepared.

Toronto is filled with great chefs and food.  If you are foodie then this is a town for you!!!
